For module 1 assignment, you will select a (local) nonprofit organization (501(c)3) in Georgia. It cannot not be a church or a religious organization. However, a nonprofit organization that is associated with a religious organization would be fine for this assignment. For example, soup kitchens associated with churches would be fine as long as the soup kitchen is the one designated as a 501(c)(3) organization. What are you expected to submit by 11:59pm on Sunday, May 26?

1. Organization name and location: i. 501(c)(3) status; ii. Not a church or a religious organization; iii. Not a university or college campus student organization (e.g., fraternity, sorority, university foundation); iv. Ideally it should be located near your location so that you can visit the organization and maybe even interview its leadership and staff.
2. Make absolutely sure the organization has 501(c)(3) status - this is essential. Remember, we are studying Management of Non-Profit Organizations (in other words Management of 501(c)(3) organizations).
