curves continuous.

b$)$ Plot the horizontal stress $($either $x$ or $y)$ and strain with respect to depth

underneath the center of the load $($along X$1).$ Please explain your

observations. Are they continuous?

c$)$ Duplicate the load $600mm$ away from the center of the first load. Plot the

vertical stress $(z)$ along both $x1$ and $x2$ on the same plot. Is stress along $x1$

always higher than X$2?$ Please explain your observations.

You can use the Python tool $($like we did in class$)$ or WinJulea.

Please note that the units I selected should give you stresses in MPa $($and strains

with no unit$).$ In general, you need to be careful about your units using layered

elastic analysis.
