For the layout and loading shown above, calculate the bending moments in the frame due to

wind loading in the following ways:

a$)$ Conduct a global analysis of the frame accounting for all the dominant load combinations.

Use computer software such as Prokon or any suitable software. As an interest, compare

the results of a linear elastic and second$-$order analysis.

b$)$ Using a hand$-$calculation method to calculate bending moments for the entire structure for

the wind loads only according to Reynolds$$ Fig. $2\mathrm{.}62$ guidelines. Show these on a diagram

and compare results with a Prokon frame analysis or any suitable software with the same

loading. Look at similarities and differences in results and what might have caused these.

The results from this wind analysis would be combined with the analyses of Question $2$ to

obtain moments accounting for both vertical and lateral loads.

c$)$ Calculate the NHL for each level. This doesn$$t need to be applied; just be aware of it
