For the summative activity in this unit, you will be conducting an observational study using a sample of a chosen population. You will work on this assignment throughout the next two lessons.

For this activity, you are asked to start the assignment by outlining the population that you will be able to access (e.g., your school, employees at your work, people at a place that you attend for leisure). Identify the variables that you want to study and how you might ask questions about them in a survey. Consider what you are going to ask people so that you can separate the sample into two groups to compare graphs. Note: You will not use scatter plots until next unit.

Be sure to consider ethics and professionalism when choosing variables to study (i.e., make sure your variables are appropriate).

Share with your teacher so they can help you in this process leading up to your summative.
