For the term paper for this course students must identify a specific topic within the broad discipline of healthcare leadership. This would be typically about the many leadership competencies we will be reviewing in class and in the book and how they are manifested in organizations. Based on the review of the literature, students must write a paper which includes all the following:

An Introduction section involving a description of your topic and its relevance to healthcare leadership

A Background section with relevant description of your study topic based a the current literature on the topic

Implications For Practitioners section describing how and why the study topic is relevant for healthcare practitioners $($organizations$,$ providers, etc.$)$

A Personal Experience section that describes your personal experience and how you have observed and$/$or interacted with leaders $($at work or in other organizations$)$ that embody $($or not$)$ the leadership competency described in the literature review.

A Conclusions section, summarizing the topic, its relevance, your experience, and a recommendation for organizations to follow.
