This is where you will put an annotation of your case, briefly describe the case giving highlights of the case, what occurred, how officers acted, and anything else pivotal with the case. Additionally, you will want to discuss what the decision of the Supreme Court decided, if anyone dissented and why. Be brief though so you can go in depth of your case.

Here is where you will go into the case identification, summary of facts, issues stated, holding described, reasoning explained, and outcome summarized. Case identification will explain the case itself, what happened, who was involved, was anything done out of the ordinary or out of what would otherwise be policy within any typical agency. Be sure to highlight the issue that was faced, what needs to be discussed to support the stance that the Supreme Court took when deciding on this case.

The next paragraph or section will be the summary of the facts, what was argued in court, and by which side the defense of prosecution? Was anything discussed pivotal in this case that should otherwise be noted. Were there any issues that the accused had mental, physical, psychological, or otherwise that should be noted. Anything you can think of that needs to be discussed.

Issues stated is where you will present the case from each perspective the defense and then on the prosecution. Were there any laws that were being challenged, or issues that posed the Supreme Court (this is a given, so just describe it).

Reasons explained will be just that, why was it upheld, argued or otherwise voted on by the Supreme Court. Why did they decide in the manner which they did. Did someone dissent? If they did, why did they disagree with the majority voting? Why was this case an issue, what was going on within the community during this time that could have affected this outcome?

Finally, you will speak on the how this case shaped the criminal justice system for years to come, and if there are any issues would there be a possibility where this case could be challenged in the future? Be sure to think about it from all perspectives.
