Your organization is growing. As the human resources management professional, one of your job is to oversee employee integration as your small manufacturing company buys competitor firms, bringing them under one corporate banner. Each of the organizations that is being purchased has a strong and positive organizational culture, is profitable, and has a product line that is solid, high quality and saleable. Your company is purchasing these companies to acquire their intellectual property, technology and client base, but not as a result of any other factor. This creates a unique challenge for you in that the assimilation into one brand must be done carefully so as not to devalue a positive state, while engaging employees in a shared corporate culture.
