For this assignment, you will draw two calligrams representing very early stages of vertebrate development $($gastrulation and neurulation$).$ A calligram is a drawing or diagram that uses words to form the image.

One calligram should be of a gastrula $($a vertebrate embryo that has gone through the gastrulation phase$)$ and one calligram should be of a neurula $($a vertebrate embryo that has gone through the neurulation phase$).$ As with all synthetic assignments, it is strongly recommended that you use your notes and lecture slides to guide you.

In the creation of the calligrams, you must use all of the following terms. You do not need to use all terms on both calligrams:
