For this assignment, you will find research and discuss a recent news event (within the past year) that relates to labor relations. The recent event should be long enough that will allow you to summarize the article and add your opinion to it. In most cases, you will likely need to conduct additional research on this topic to complete this assignment thoroughly. Your recent event summary and analysis should include the following:

Length: 2 - 3 page double-spaced paper (do not submit as an attachment). No cover page is required, however, you must include a reference page. 6-7 sentences (approx.1 paragraph) summarizing the article. Be sure to include only factual information in your summary.

Content: What was the labor relations issue? Briefly summarize in a maxim of two paragraphs who, what, when, where, how and why. Identify and discuss the main points of the labor relations issue. Who is on what side? What is at stake for both sides of this issue? What would each side gain? Who were the stakeholders? What was the impact and consequences of this issue on each stakeholder group? Apply two (2) or more concepts, theories or practices of labor relations to understand and begin to address the issue/s. Explain why you chose each approach.
