For this assignment you will focus on a program that offers an alternative to imprisonment/incarceration, mainly for probationers and parolees. Choose a program of interest to you and create a 15 slide (minimum) PowerPoint presentation.

The presentation should:

1. Identify a community corrections program and analyze the factors that led to the formation of that program.

2. Provide a historical overview of the program. Be sure to include if the program is still in operation today and any details on if it has achieved its goal(s). If the program is not in operation today, explain what lead to the end of the program.

3. Discuss your rationale for choosing this specific community corrections program.

4. Discuss ways in which this program affects probation/parole. Support with research.

You can choose any community corrections program that apply. Some examples are: halfway houses, Intensive Supervision (ISP) programs, Confinement in Response to Violation (CRV) Centers, electronic monitoring, and Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) programs. These are just a few ideas!
