For this assignment you will put together a Recommendation Report for Beijing EAPS Consulting Inc. You will analyze the organizational structure, demonstrate you understand the HRM perspective in project management, and determine how communication can improve across departments.

You are welcome to develop and design your Recommendation Report as you wish; do make sure you address each of the following questions, in full, within your report:

• Describe the organizational structure at BEC: What departmentalization approaches does the company use? What are the pros and cons of this structure for BEC?

• What caused the conflict between the project managers and other employees? What suggestions do you offer to move toward conflict resolution?

• How would you design the responsibilities and authorities of a project manager at BEC?

• Do you have any suggestion for Mr. Zheng regarding future hires and their employee qualifications and training needs?

• In addition to fully answering the questions above, please also include, at minimum 4-5 specific recommendations from the text. Fully explain why you are recommending these courses of actions, reports, etc. and be sure to make notations of where, in the textbook, you secured your information.

• Your final report should display a thorough understanding of introductory project management principles.
