1. It should consist of one introductory paragraph, three supporting paragraphs, one counter argument paragraph, and one concluding paragraph.

   • Family Planning/Pregnant Teens
   • Pollution
   • Homelessness
   • Government Corruption
2. The essay should have six (6) paragraphs. Each paragraph should have at least five (5) sentences.
3. Avoid the use of the first-person point of view.
4. Clearly state your position in the first paragraph (introduction). (one paragraph)
5. Support each argument with specific examples and facts. (three paragraphs)
6. Provide at least one opposing argument and your counterargument. (one paragraph)
7. Write a conclusion that reaffirms your position or calls for action. (one paragraph)
8. Include at least four (4) sources of information, which includes citations and references.
