A media company broadcasts 8 TV channels globally. All of its data is stored on high-end intelligent storage array and host to storage connectivity is over FC SAN. There are 200 servers in the data center and 30 Heterogeneous storage arrays. Entire infrastructure is highly redundant. Storage traffic moves over FC SAN and management moves over IP network. Due to large number of servers and storage, cabling has become very complex and difficult to manage. Data center is running out of space and cannot accommodate more servers. Company performs data migration regularly among heterogeneous arrays which causes downtime and is unacceptable. The entire infrastructure is currently managed by multiple management tools and is inefficient.
