For this presentation you will need to develop and present your original research design.

The presentation must include the following elements:

1. Research Question

2. Hypothesis

3. Citing of relevant literature on the research topic: for example if you choose project on the effect of trade on war initiation, you need to cite at least 1 journal article on this topic.

4. Choose your DV and IV, tell us what data set the variables came from, how they are measured, and run descriptive statistics for each variable.

5. Present a basic theory on why and how your independent variable effects your dependent variable.

6. Run a regression analysis on your DV using your relevant IV and control variables.

7 Present your findings in a powerpoint style presentation

I need help figuring out a better question. My independent variables and dependent variables seem wrong. I am trying to simplify this

Data Set: GSS (assisted, Suicide1, Suicide4) and States (suicide_rate)

Independent Variable-assisted - support for assisted suicide

Dependent Variable- Suicide1 - Suicide if incurable disease - Suicide 4- suicide of tired of living

Controlled variable -suicide_rate - suicide rate per 100,000

Do respondents believe that assisted suicide is more acceptable when there is an incurable disease involved or if mental health/social factors is a factor for wanting it
