For this week weekly assignment, you will be required to answer one of the following two options of questions. The Eurasia region is an incredibly complex region that has experienced significant action in all themes we have talked about this week. From the Significant Environmental damage done during the Soviet era- to the very real geopolitical conflict going on right now, there is much that can be examined in great detail. Student will be required to select from either Option one or Option to (NOT BOTH). Additional requirements will be listed below. Option one Questions: 1. With the current Invasion of the Ukraine, it is important to understand how a conflict begun. Based on conversations from lecture, what where the initial events that led to our current situation. (When did Crisis begin, what were some of Russia's initial actions) 2. Explain the soviet policy of Russification, what effect did it have throughout the Eurasia region. Option Two Question: 1. In April of 1986 a Catastrophic Environmental disaster occurred. Discuss what this event was and what effect it had on the surrounding area? 2. The Eurasia region has faced some enduring Social challenges, identity 2 of three example issues discussed in lecture. Outline what they are in the process
