For this week's discussion, answer the following prompts:

• What are some legal issues you can think of that might be brought on by AI?
• How can we balance the positives of AI innovation with the need to protect the public?
• How does the U.S. compare to the EU in their approach to AI?

2) For this assignment, choose at least five commonly used AI-powered applications. Examples include Siri, Instagram's algorithm, Netflix's recommendations, Bing, etc. For each application, explain what it is, how it is used, how AI is used within the application, the positives of AI for this application, and the potential negative implications.

OR

Create something using an AI program of your choice. You can ask the AI to write a song, create an image, or anything else you can imagine.

After the AI completes the task, describe your experience. What were some of the AI's strengths? Weaknesses? What potential ethical or legal issues could arise from using AI for this task?

Please include 3-5 references, at least one of which should be a scholarly article from our library.

Your paper should be at least three pages long (in addition to your Works Consulted page) and be properly formatted.
