For your final reflective assignment, you will compose a reflection that address the following areas--Looking Back, Looking Ahead, and Looking Inward.

You have two options for how you choose to present your reflection:

• Write a 3 page reflective paper, OR
• Record a 5-7 minute presentation (using slides created in Canva, PowerPoint, Google slides)

Looking Back:

Initial Thoughts: Briefly describe your feelings and expectations regarding the concepts focused on within this course (writing, researching, composing, critical thinking) at the beginning of the semester. Did you feel confident? Apprehensive?

Key Learnings: Identify 2-3 major concepts or techniques you learned this semester that have significantly impacted your writing and critical thinking abilities. Explain how these concepts influenced your approach to writing (remember--writing involves more than just composing a traditional essay! Think about all the ways you composed "texts" throughout the term.)

Favorite Piece: Select one assignment you completed this semester that you're most proud of. Explain what makes this piece stand out for you.

Challenges Faced: Discuss any specific challenges you encountered during the writing process this semester. How did you overcome these challenges?

Looking Ahead:

Areas for Growth: Reflect on areas where you'd like to further develop your writing and critical thinking skills. What specific aspects do you want to focus on in the future?

Personal Strategies: Based on your experiences this semester, propose 2-3 personal strategies you'll implement to improve your work in the future.

The Power of Writing: Briefly discuss how you view the role of writing and critical thinking in your life beyond this course.

Looking Inward:

Critical Thinking: Explain how the concepts of critical thinking learned this semester (analysis, evaluation, argument, writing in multiple modalities) were applied to your writing development. Has your process changed? If so, how? If not, why not?

Self-Evaluation:Think about your time in this course. How do you feel you did? If you had to give yourself a grade, what would you assign yourself and why?
