For your research project, you will develop your own research question and test your hypothesis using survey data which you will collect later in the semester. In order to keep the project manageable, you will be limited to a simple bivariate analysis. This means that your hypothesis will only involve two variables: one independent variable and one dependent variable. Remember, the independent variable is theorized to cause or predict the dependent variable. The first step is to decide which variables you will choose to examine in your research project. Your selection will be limited to the variables listed below
