1. The brain grows with extensive stimulation. Taxi drivers have new routes to follow constantly, so their hippocampus grew compared to bus drivers that only had set routes.

2. New experiences, problems, and inputs lead to higher brain function in the long term.

3. Being engaged in various aspects (mentally, visually, physically, audibly, etc) meant that learning occurred and the brain had to grow to process new inputs and ways to solve problems.
