You may assume:

Points $B,D$ and $E$ are pins

The upper cutting arm $AD$ rotates around pin $D,$ the lower cutting arm is fixed

Point $C$ is a sliding contact with negligible horizontal force between the lever arm

The vertical member $BE$ connects the lever arm with the lower cutting arm, and
