Here are the highlights of some of the announced projects: Richards Bay LNG Terminal (KwaZulu-Natal): Set to process 1 to 5 million tons of LNG each year, this R2.1 billion project is expected to generate around 4,500 jobs and significantly boost local income. * Durban Container Terminal Pier 1 (KwaZulu-Natal): This expansion aims to increase cargo handling capacity to 3.6 million TEUs, with the construction of seven additional deep-water berths. Berth A100 for Liquid Bulk (Eastern Cape): Serving the Nelson Mandela Bay region, this new port development supports energy imports and reflects a R2.2 billion investment Project Ukuvuselela (National): A rail infrastructure upgrade linking Gauteng and the Eastem Cape, aimed at easing pressure on Durban's port by enhancing vehicle logistics via rail.
