The group has always been interested in marketing. Its always a curiosity on how management derives solution based on their goals. Thus the group was lucky to join a team that was doing it. They found out that the first thing is to prioritise on the goal and to state the constraints and/or expectations. The stated goal was as follows:

The total advertising budget should not exceed RM120000. TV spots cost RM5,000 each while newspaper advertisement costs at least RM2000 each.

The advertisement must be a mixture of TV and newspaper ads.

For TV with at least 10 spots.

For newspaper ads at least 20.

The total number of people reading and hearing the advertisement should be at least 9 million. The television spot reaches approximately 300,000 people and the newspaper advertisement is read by about 150,000 persons.
