Here is my answer for assignment 1

Define Stage:

The absence of physical exercise among students in our group is the issue we will address. Lack of access to exercise facilities and time and other problems preventing students from doing regular physical activity are potential drivers of this issue.

Project Scope: Implementing tactics to boost students in our group's physical activity levels is the goal of this project. The project aims to develop an easy-to-follow routine framework that encourages regular exercise thrice a week for 30 minutes. The initiative won't address more general issues beyond the group's control, such as equipment shortages or external time limitations.

Project Boundaries and Limitations: The project will only involve the students in our group and their families and friends. The strategies will rely on the facilities and resources the group members can access. The project does not intend to target specific health issues or offer tailored workout routines.

Data Analysis: To assess the success of the project, the following measures will be analyzed:

  1. The number of workouts each student does each week.
  2. Levels of self-reported motivation and energy before and after starting the exercise program.
  3. The simplicity of sticking to the workout plan.

Project Stakeholders: The stakeholders for this project include:

  • Students within the group
  • Friends and family of group members with a vested interest in their well-being.

Measure Stage:

Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) Characteristics:

  1. Ability to exercise 3 times a week, for 30 minutes each session.
  2. Increased energy and motivation levels due to higher physical activity
  3. A routine structure that is easy for students to follow

Data Collection Plan: To measure the success of the project, the following data collection methods will be utilized:

  1. Surveys: Surveys will be given to students before and after the project to measure their motivation, energy, and ease of following the workout plan
  2. Self-reporting: Each student will keep track of the number of how many workouts they do each week and how long each session lasts.
  3. Observation: The project leader or designated student will keep track of and monitor any difficulties participants may have following the workout regimen.

Data Gathering and Analysis: every participant will oversee the gathering of their workout statistics. After that, the group head or the appointed data analyst will get the data. To find trends, patterns, and areas needing development, the collected data will be analyzed using the proper statistical techniques, such as computing averages and percentages and creating graphs or charts.

Baseline Measurement: The baseline measurement of student satisfaction will be established by assessing the current levels of physical activity based on the collected data. This baseline will serve as a benchmark for evaluating the effectiveness of the improvement strategies implemented in the following stages of the DMAIC cycle.
