Question: General Guidelines: Before you spend too much time on this project, you will submit a proposal to me to get approved. Do not continue working

General Guidelines:
Before you spend too much time on this project, you will submit a proposal to me to get approved. Do not continue working on your project until I approve your proposal because I may not approve it. For your proposal write an email to me as if I was your direct manager. Please write your email in Microsoft Word. Details for the email are contained in the rubric on Canvas. For example, you should not address me as Dr. Wieck. In a business, you would address me as Michael if I was your direct manager.
Email content:
Name of the company you will use for your project
Brief description of the company and industry
Which decision you are wanting to inform
Which concept(s) you plan to apply from our class
Email Style Guidelines:
Use in-formal business language. For example:
Address me by my first name (Michael)
Use a friendly tone of voice (Ex/ start the email with Hi Michael,)
Use informal (but respectful) language. (This is not the same as text-speak or slang)
Keep the email brief and to the point!! (No one has time to read long emails.)
Speak candidly. (You are one of my go-to team members, and I trust your input.)
Email Formatting:
Your email should be free of grammatical errors.
If you are unsure on English grammar, you can download a free copy of Grammarly (Grammarly.com) or work with the IUS writing center
The email should be organized, so it is easy to skim.
You should break your email into sections. (You should not have one continuous paragraph.)
Each section should have a heading.
Use bullet points and numbered lists as appropriate.
Each are effective to communicates lists of information.
Numbers should be used if the order of the items is important.
Follow these accessibility best practicesLinks to an external site. when preparing your document. This helps anyone with disabilities (like color-blindness) to read your document. (There is also a video available where I demonstrate these best practices.)
In addition, use a sans serif font (like Calibri or Arial).
