Six Sigma is a methodology that is based on data management, it is supported and certified by the ASQ, the philosophy of this quality system focuses on achieving continuous improvement and results following the framework of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. It is a system that takes time to homogenize total quality activities throughout the process, identifying and eliminating the fundamental causes of problems.

Six sigma seeks greater process efficiency, minimization of waste costs, and greater customer satisfaction.

The similarities of both methodologies are that they both seek customer satisfaction and loyalty through quality; Cost reduction through process efficiency and effectiveness.

The difference is the methodology used, surely in some points they must have some coincidence, ISO $9000$ has a systemic approach that develops coherence and continuous improvement; Six Sigma, for its part, focuses on making informed decisions $($data management$),$ and optimizing activities and resources based on evidence.
