The article I chose focuses on the study that the Pfizer Covid vaccine was just 12% effective against omicron in kids 5 to 11 (CNBC). It was from December 13 to january 24 that the omicron variant reached its peak outbreak in New York City. During this period, those aged 5 to 11 with the Pfizer vaccine, would have its effectiveness become 12% to its prior 68%.

It is believed the reason for its decline in effectiveness is because of the lower dosage given: The age group from 5-11 years old receives two 10 microgram shots vs. a 30 microgram shot for the 12-17 year old group.

I think the author does an effective job in using data and statistics to prove his point and provide information. By showing a study as well as the information conveyed from it, it gives the reader an easy understanding of the topic trying to be conveyed. The information I showed, that came from the article, is enough to confirm the header and initial statement made. Yet what builds on to the strength of this article is the additional data provided, from different studies and time frames.

To summarize, the article discussed that the statistics show that the median weekly wages for full-time workers 25 and over was $975, for without a high school diploma it was $606, for high. school graduates with no college it was $749, for people with some college or an associates degree it was $874, for people with a bachelors degree it was $1,281, and for people with higher degrees it was $1,559. Another statistic brought up that I found was very interesting was that people without high school diplomas accounted for about 62% of all earnings in the third-quarter in 2019. I strongly feel that the authors of this article used these statistics very well to open the readers' minds about the wages of all different kinds of people, they were quick and concise while being very informative and giving people very interesting facts.
