Give feedback to these two posts
post 1
Within the past year I deleted all my social media apps except for snapchat, so I wouldn't say I have a big social media presence. I have an instagram account still, but the account is private so only my followers are able to see the few posts I have on there. I don't think its that important to have a social media presence unless you use it to make an income or you're a business. The difference between sites like LinkedIn and Facebook is that LinkedIn is for people actively looking for jobs and connections while facebook is for people who want to stay in touch or keep up to date with certain aspects of the world.
A job I found on LinkedIn is a Certified Personal Financial Counselor. The specifics of this job is to help service members with any financial advice or troubles they may come across. This could be for getting out of debt, retirement, budget planning, etc. This is what I want to pursue as a career in the future, and it would be really cool to serve the people who serve our country and keep us safe.

This was a very interesting assignment for me as I have not Googled myself for quite a while. I forgot that I had made myself a LinkedIn many years ago, and I plan to update it here very soon. Most of the pages that come up in the search are either related to my current jobs or past jobs or my swimming career from years ago. My Facebook profile also shows up, but I don't post too much on it. Based on the video, I should definitely work to make my professional profile more noticeable and up to date. I definitely have a social media presence, but I try to keep most of my personal information more private. I am also very careful about what I choose to post. I have the typical Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat, but I've realized that people don't really care about what I post so I don't find much of a point in using them anymore (except to communicate with people).
While I didn't necessarily find this job through social media or LinkedIn, I have recently applied to Starbucks locations around the Lafayette, Colorado area. I actively looked for Starbucks openings by using their website and Google search. The Starbucks job I just applied to is in the Lafayette area and is looking for part-time people. I looked into the job initially because I was intrigued by their tuition program that offers to pay full tuition at ASU for employees who work 20 hours a week minimum. ASU has a great business school so this seemed like a great opportunity.
