Global supply chains are facing numerous challenges and changes. Managers and organisations have to adapt to rapidly evolving micro and macro environments. As companies increasingly use their supply chain to compete and gain market share, spending and activity in this area are notably on the upswing. Technology and process upgrades at forward-thinking companies clearly show that supply chain excellence is more widely accepted as an element of overall business strategy, and that increasing value to customers is not just management's, but also everyone's, business. The shift in how companies view their supply chain is taking hold. Some of the factors contributing to this rapid change are:

Your task:

1. Conduct desk research on each of the above topics. Use a minimum of 10 sources. Make sure that your sources are not older than 5 years (not older than 2018).

2. Write an essay using the above topics under the broad heading Trends Changing Supply Chain Management Today. Your essay should be no more than 8 pages including the cover page, table of content and bibliography. The essay must be referenced according to university guidelines. The link to the referencing guide is posted under announcements on myTUTor. Your discussion must be coherent and linked to the broad heading.

3. Use either Arial or Times New Roman, Size 12 font with 1.5 line spacing. Page numbers must be inserted at the bottom left of each page starting from the Introduction.

4. All submissions must be uploaded on myTUTor. No hardcopy assignments will be accepted.

5. Your assignment will be run through Turnitin on submission. A similarity of 20% and below is accepted. You can submit as many times as you like before the due date. Note
