Assessment 2 is a group assessment task. The purpose of this assessment is to:

Make strategic operations management decisions to maximise the organisation's competitive
position and demonstrate leadership capacity to develop and manage strategic operations.
Deliverable 1:
Your group will select an organisation and an operations process of your choice within the organisation
that provide opportunity for innovation. Evaluate the organisation and shortcomings in your selected
process and develop innovative new solutions and strategies for improving the process. Your report
should include the following:
Identify and describe the selected organisation.
Describe the selected process.
Analyse the shortcomings of the process.
Propose your innovative ideas and supporting rationales.
Justify the value of this idea expressed applying or using convincing operations management
terms, including what it will achieve.
Address the operations management aspects of this innovation in terms of processes, capacity
management, capital requirements, resourcing, human resource management, quality,
customer service, supply chain management and long-term sustainability of the innovation.
Describe how the idea and proposed changes will be implemented, operated, and sustainably
managed. A detailed project plan is not required, but general implementation phases are
required.
Note you do not need to provide a financial analysis.
Deliverable 2:
You will complete a Peer Review report for your group. Only write in bullet points for each of
the members in your group (Due 5th Aug, 2025). Further details will be discussed in the class.
