GROUP PROJECT REGULATION 1. TOPIC: Each group need to find a topic/problem related to Smart Township. The topic is broad and includes construction. It can be about foundations, structures, transport, water supply, materials, environment and others. 2. For example, your group might want to calculate the cost of tiles for a house. Tiles come in different brands, sizes and costs. Tiles for walls and floors also vary. Some walls may have windows. The house may vary in size and shape. If you take all these aspects into account, the problem becomes complex and realistic. 3. The more realistic the problem, the better. Think of your group as a company that solves this problem for real people. 4. CODES: Your programme should consist of most of the commands we have covered in class. Calculations, logic, loops and graphics (if possible) should be included. 5. Refer to lecture notes, eBooks and the Octave or Matlab manual if necessary. 6. FLOWCHART: Use the correct form of boxes. Be precise. 7. PROJECT REPORT: Front page of the report should consist of the project title, group name and a list of members. The content should have these headings: a. Problem Statement b. Programme Objectives C. Programme Flow Chart d. Programme Codes (Octave / Matlab) e. Example of Manual Calculation (use Microsoft Excel if possible). f. Result and Discussion g. Conclusion
