Based on Winston & Albright, $2019$

Your company produces several products that are then shipped to two warehouses for

storage and are finally shipped to one of the many customers.

Use network models to help the company reduce its production and distribution costs.

Your team$/$group was assigned for implementing the spreadsheet model that will help

the company with its daily basis decision making related to how much to produce and

transport in order to meet the specified demand in each customer destination, while

minimizing costs with production and transportation.

You$$ll decide production and storage capacity, the production and storage costs of each

product, the costs with transportation from the production center to the warehouses,

and then from there to the different customer centers. You are also responsible for

determining the demand for each type of product in the different final destinations.

Your spreadsheet model must be organized in such a way that you$$ll be able to change

input values, such as production and$/$or transportation costs, production and$/$or storage

capacity, demand in each of the final destinations, etc. and run the Solver.

During presentation, your group will explain the problem with information of the

products, location of production center, warehouses, and customer destinations, an

overview of the costs, capacity and demand, and the detailed description of the

process used to model the problem in a spreadsheet. Finally, you$$ll be demonstrating

the effectiveness of your model by running Solver once and explaining how to interpret

the best solution
