It will allow you to examine and explore your experiences and increase your ability to control how you act and react in the moment. (If you create your own, be sure to include two separate areas, one for fixed mindset experiences and the other for growth mindset experiences.) STEP 2: Write your first fixed entry. In no more than a few paragraphs, describe a recent situation in which you personally experienced yourself demonstrating a fixed mindset. Explain the context, what happened, and why you think you (re)acted the way you did. Finally, and most importantly, write a paragraph or more explaining how you would like to handle the situation differently next time. STEP 3: Write your first growth entry.
