GUIDELINES FOR PRO. ECT REPORT The project must basically be ficused on the apclication of Pneumatics technologies. Individually, students are tasked to design an automated pneumatic system that include the following instruments: - 2 Cylinder (either ingle of double cylinder) - Double acting valve - Roler valves - Air connecting tubes - Air distributor a) Clearly show the connection of your design. b) Analyze the functionality of your system 1. Introduction This is cone of the most important components of the report. It should begin with a clear statement of what the project is about so that the nature and scope of the project can be understood by a lay reader, it should summarize everything you set out to achieve. provide a clear summary of the projects background. relevance and main contributions. The introduction should set the scene for the project and should provide the reader with a summary of the ksy things bo bok out for in the remainder of the report. The introduction kseit should be largely son-technical. The background of the problem should be explained dearly. Aims and objectives of the project should be clearly staled. 2. Design This is the stage where you show your CAD models design. Explain all the used material. This should include the project sibe and the name of the authors of the report. The project should be based on application of Pneumatic technology at a typical company in South Africa. Each studert should formulate its project tille. The tille must retect the goals or aims of the project. 3. Method Briefly mention how did you conduct the practical. What tools did you use to connect the pneumatics and usetur assistance, technical or oberwise, during your project. 4. Results and discussion This is the central part of the report and can have more than one chapter detailing the lechnical work undertaken during the project. This section may include the main use of the desion and the benefit should be explicisy clear. Indicate at the relevant perameters such as volume, number of layers etc. Perform cost calculations for using the extra resources to doable your system perlormance (treat your own figures). 5.
