for school. She contacted the seller, Jumbo Enterprise to ask for the price and details of the

backpack. Jumbo Enterprise told her that the backpack was on sale and Hanim shall get

10% discount from the selling price. Hanim was satisfied with the price but found that the

size was a bit small for her. She has registered six subjects next semester and needed a

bigger backpack. Hanim refused to buy. Jumbo Enterprise insisted Hanim to proceed to

make payment and claimed there was already a contract between them.

Hanim believes that there is no contract with Jumbo Enterprise as what she did was just

asking for the price and details of the backpack.

In the light of the above situation, discuss the differences between offer and invitation to treat

and advise Hanim accordingly.
