I can promise you, all of the ther girls are noticing too!" She can tell that he likes this and it seems to motivate him to work arder. He starts making good progress on his goals. One day as they are training, Brad surprises Sally by asking her out on a date. They have the ollowing conversation: Sally: Brad, I don't know if that's really a very good idea. Brad: Why not? I mean you are flirting with me all of the time. I thought you liked me! Were you just saying those things to be nice? I guess I'm still too fat for a pretty girl like you. I should have known better. Sally: No! That's not it at all! I'm really proud of the progress you are making. I just think that it could get in the way of our coaching relationship. Brad: Well, how about this? I'll agree to sign on for another year of coaching, and our goal will be for me to lose another 30 pounds. If I can hit that goal, I think I'll look great! If I can do that, and our coaching relationship is over, would you at least go out to dinner with me so we can try things out? Sally: Well, we'll see. I can tell you that if you can lose another 30 pounds, it'll be hard for me to say no! But I'll probably have to fight all the other girls off and you won't want to date me anyway! his seems to cheer Brad up, and for the next year of coaching Brad is really motivated and corks hard.
