Hello, can someone please help me do a risk assessment form, a risk severity matrix, and a response matrix for the following scenario? Thank you in advance!
The Boston Travel Baseball Club has been around for over 20 years and was formed to bring club level players to a higher level of competition. The club currently has 48 boys and girls (ranging in age from 14 to 17) on teams. The club teams regularly play in two to three tournaments a summer and at different locations in the area. The tournaments on average generate between $70,000- $90,000 for the hosting club.
The Boston Travel Baseball Club was selected this summer to host one of the summer tournaments. The club needs the fundraising money to expand their current baseball fields. Part of the money will also be set aside to sponsor players that cant afford to pay the $450 annual club dues. Shawn Smith was discussing the details of the Boston Travel Baseball Tournament Committee meeting with his wife Kelli. Shawn is a self-confessed baseball Dad that had been elected the tournament director and was responsible for organizing the teams summer tournament. Shawn explained to Kelli that he started the meeting by having everyone introduce themselves. He then suggested that the committee brainstorm on ideas on how to execute the tournament while Shawn records the responses on the whiteboard in the room. The committee was very vocal with ideas. One member suggested hiring qualified umpires. Another member suggested to contact local colleges to see if they could use their baseball diamonds. The committee spent a lot of time discussing how they should screen teams and how much they
should charge as an entry fee. Then an argument broke out whether they should provide winning teams in each age bracket with medals or trophies. Many members felt medals were too cheap, while others thought trophies were too expensive. Someone suggested that they
seek local sponsor to help fund the tournament. They also discuss t-shirt sales and getting a local artist to create the t-shirt design for the tournament. The meeting went over by 30 minutes due to the very active discussion. Kelli consoled Shawn and agreed that organizing the tournament is going to be a big project. She offered to sit down with him and plan out the event. The first thing they needed to create was a WBS for the project.
