Leaders who are agile center anticipate change and pivot strategies proactively. They are able to adjust approaches to resonate locally. They also are able to make quick decision making under uncertainty. Situational leadership supports necessary agility in the global business environment in many ways. Flexibility in leadership approach is one. Leaders who are able to shift between directing, coaching, supporting, and delegating based on context. It also encourages trust and engagement. A skill or leadership strategy that supports the effective application of situational leadership is communication and listening skills. Clear, communication ensures messages are understood across cultural and language barriers. While active listening helps to diagnose needs of the team a foundation of situational leadership
