Hello everyone, I apologize for the late post, I have been shifting to a night schedule and it has not been going well. For this weeks topic, we were asked to discuss the pros and cons associated with using Al and robotics in business. In our current day to day lives, robotics and Al are becoming commonly incorporated into business operations across the world. A major pro associated with the incorporation of robotics and Al is increased productivity. They allow the human factor to be removed slightly and allow for automation of simple task that would otherwise take employees much longer to complete. Another major pro of the incorporation of Al and Robotics is the minimization of errors. There are several Al programs which can analyze data to identify errors and patterns that could lead to errors in business. Robotics also allow for the minimization of errors since they can complete a standard process the same way every time. While there are some large pros associated with include robotics and Al in business operations, there are also some cons that need to be consider. The largest con for businesses to consider is the cost. Automating production has large upfront costs that may prevent companies from making the leap. Al programs also have large setup costs that could deter incorporation into productions. Another con associated with these additions is the loss of jobs. Sine automation takes away the need for multiple employees doing the work that one machine does, some people are against this automation. While this is a con, the lack of salaries needing to paid could outweigh some of the initial costs associated with building this machines. After reading through other discussion posts from my classmates, I agree with several of them. Most of us shared similar belief on what the pros and cons associate with the incorporation of Al and robotics are in businesses. Overall, I think the incorporation of Al and robotics is something businesses should fully support and work towards making happen
