(2015) discuss academic stress as a prevalent issue amongst university students that affects not only their mental health but interferes with their learning especially for those with academic evaluation anxiety. Hjeltnes et al. (2015) emphasizes the importance of providing intervention that best supports the needs of university students.

Or would specifying the citation used in the artile be needed, like this:

Academic stress is a prevalent issue amongst university students (Misra & McKean, 2000; Robotham & Julian, 2006) that affects not only their mental health but interferes with their learning especially for those with academic evaluation anxiety. This emphasizes the importance of providing intervention that best supports the needs of university students (Regehr, Glancy, & Pitts, 2013)

The assignment requires me to find what is the reserach problem being addressed.
