This week, I have spent a majority of my time finalizing my capstone paper and ensuring that I have all the information necessary. As stated in Lee & Loton (2019), capstones are expected to meet many purposes: synthesis and application of prior learning, developing skills and attributes related to employability, and more recently, quality assurance. It is an opportunity for students to demonstrate the acquisition of knowledge and skills that concludes their educational journey. As I finalize my capstone, I reflect back on all the knowledge I have gained throughout this program and how I can take this information and move forward to the next step. I feel that the support I have received from my preceptor, mentor, and instructor has gone well. I appreciate the amount of resources I was blessed with to complete this project and capstone. Again, my difficulties have been with my APA format. I think I have a better understanding of where my mistakes are now. I was graciously given an article to help me adjust my level headings properly. Well-formatted and clearly worded headings aid both visual and nonvisual readers of all abilities (American Psychological Association, 2022). I had some confusion around my level headings, but hope that I have corrected them after reading this article and reviewing the APA manual. I currently do not have any questions regarding my capstone topic as I am now working on the conclusion and summarizing the entire paper. When in doubt, I reach out to my colleagues, instructor, mentors for any answers.
