Ask yourself, "Who needs to be on this team to ensure that project goals are successfully met?" Consider, as well, the importance of communication among team members. Basic Outline for my Surge Capacity Project

Project Description

The project that I will be discussing for my assignment will be designing a Hospital Surge Capacity Protocol because of a pandemic or other disaster that results in mass patient loads being directed to the hospital for Michigan Medicine.

Purpose and Objectives

The purpose of this project is to put a system into place to ensure that patients are treated with the same level of care during an emergency as they would during non-emergent times. The first goal for this project will be to increase the number of beds available at Michigan Medicine. The second goal will be to put a system into place to effectively and quickly care for the most severe patients who arrive at Michigan Medicine.

Project Scope

The scope of the project will be hospital wide. While this project will focus primarily on the Emergency Department, the project will impact the entirety of the hospital.
