A trip to an industrial site is one of the important activities in any engineering undergraduate programs. It contributes to the achievement of various essential learning outcomes and program objectives. These were achieved when a group of students from Yanbu Industrial College majoring in different engineering subjects identified a power plant in Yanbu Industrial City as the suitable site for their visit. They were guided by a teacher from each department. You were one of those students who took part in that trip. On your return from the trip, you were asked by the head of your department (chemical / electrical \& electronics / mechanical.....) to write a report highlighting improvement in students' technical ability and knowledge. Yanbu industrial college Yanbu Al sinaiyah, KSA Memo Date: 28 September 2019 From: Ibrahim sulaiman Almezail To: the program coordinator of ENG 201 Subject: Trip report Introduction At 4pm On the 25th of September 2019, my friends from ENG 201 of Yanbu English language institute and I traveled by Saudi Airlines to Dhahran, prince Mohammed Bin Fahad University to attend a workshop on workplace communications, there are 12 colleges participating from various cities in Saudi Arabia. About 450 students. We returned to Yanbu at 11pm on the 28th of September by Saudi Airlines. Description of active The trip lasted three days and it went as follows: Day 1: we reached prince Mohammed bin Fahad university and we are registered and we had breakfast from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, from 10:00 Am to 12 noon we had workshop on workplace communication by Dr. Johnson George, then we had lunch break from 12:00 noon to 1:30 PM and lastly at 1:30 PM we had Technical Report Writing (Incident \& Travel report) by Dr. Faisal Malik. Day2: From 10:00 AM to 12 noon We had job Application Process workshop by Mr. David john and we took an hour lunch break from 12 noon to 1:30 PM, we had Resume writing workshop by Mr. Mohammed Ali, it took an hour and a half from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. After that we took a half hour tea break from 3:30 to 4:00 PM. However, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM we reached to end of the goal of this trip, we had closing session and there were certificates to participants and I had certificate for my participation. Day 3: on the 28th of September at 11pm we returned to Yanbu by Saudi Airlines Costs The trip cost 10600 SR, Air ticket cost 8000 SR, Accommodation cost 1400 SR, Food cost 1200 SR, we used the university bus for transpirations. Conclusion and recommendations The trip was beneficial, we were the most participating, the most effective and the most enthusiastic among the other participating universities and the most receiving certificates of participation. I recommend that we should reward our students who participant in workshop in the future so that the students would be more excited for the upcoming workshops
