The objective of this assignment is to familiarize the student with all the tools necessary for combinational logic

design. The student will perform hand calculations with Karnaugh maps, then implement the design in Quartus Prime.

Finally, they will simulate their design to verify functionality.

A combinational circuit known as a code converter is to be designed. The circuit takes an input code

combination, ABCD, and produces an output code combination, WXYZ$.$ In addition, there is a $5^{th}$ output $V$ which will be $1$

when the input code has a valid output and $0$ when it is not. Note that you may treat the code outputs as don't care

conditions for an INVALID input code. V$,$ by definition, cannot have any don't care conditions. A block diagram for the
