Help wit a response to this post: Smart growth has more to do with sustainability, urban planning practices that are more oriented towards the community as well as one that is environmentally-friendly (About smart Growth | US EPA, 2024). Some of the factors that are promoted by smart growth include using land resources efficiently, creating walkable neighborhoods, allowing for public transit on the plans and preserving open spaces. This approach is very feasible in an industry that is also focused on profitability such as our own. It has some long term benefits in that it can result in long term cost savings in as much as the initial cost is high. The consumers are increasingly demanding more of this approach, they are also increasingly being favored by the governments and other regulatory agencies in the United States and around the world
