QUESTION 1 a shop at Osu, Oxford Street and purchased an iphone 13, two sets of Brazilian Artificial Hair, yellow and pink colored; and designer Make Up accessories, Mary did not have enough money to pay for all the items at once. She, therefore, entered into an agreement with the shop owner, one Mr. Arthur, to pay the outstanding amount owed in five installments. However, after paying the first installment, Mary fell into arrears. The two parties then entered into another agreement under which Mary was to work for Mr. Arthur for a year without any salary to make up for the debt. Mary has started working, but the work is affecting her school activities to the extent that she was last in her class. Mary's father has approached you as a student of contract. In November 2021 she bought a brand new Mercedes C Class 2020 Edition, from Mr. Koo, a car dealer, and made the full payment towards the purchase. After paying for the car Irene who had decided to travel to the United Kingdom (UK) for one week pleaded with Mr. Koo to keep the car in his garage for the period of her absence from Ghana. Immediately Irene traveled out of Ghana, Mr. Koo sold the car to Rebecca, Irene's rival who was fully aware Irene had earlier purchased the car. Irene returned to Ghana after a week away in the UK and went to Mr. Koo's garage for her car only to realize that Mr. Koo had sold the car to Rebecca. Irene is mad about the situation and has sworn to recover the car from her rival, after which she will mercilessly deal with Mr. Koo. Advise the parties. (15Marks) b. Nancy is a tenant of a home unit owned by Angela. Ten days ago Nancy received a letter from Angela in which Angela stated that she was 'interested in selling' her flat and asked Nancy to 'let her know' if she (Nancy) was willing to buy the home unit for the price of $200,000. Three days later Nancy sent a mail to Angela in which she agreed to buy the home unit for the price set out in Angela's letter. After receiving Nancy's mail, Angela telephoned Nancy and told her that she had decided that she did not want to sell the home unit. Nancy is aggrieved advise the parties. (12Marks)
