I enjoy the ability to set dependencies that can order the tasks appropriately upon completion of the prerequisite. This also, in our case, provides a visible graph of the current subs working, what work is overlapping, and what is upcoming. In addition to a Gantt Chart, another commonly used method is the Critical Path Method (CPM). The CPM estimates the quickest start to completion timeline. Approaching project duration calculation from a different perspective is the Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT). This method allows for room for error in the duration predictions. Looking at the schedule from ideal, unfortunate, and probabilistic circumstances. Precedence Diagramming operates similarly to what the Gantt Chart produces in that it displays an order of dependencies, ensuring that possible conflicts or scope gaps are avoided. The Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) it is critical to set project milestones, whether that be by the scope of work, a percentage of completion, etc. Following this, each milestone can be individually tasked out to completion.
