The researcher is interested in determining what help a friend will give to a friend in need (zhelp - scores ranging from -3 to +3).It is determined that 3 of the variables are significantly related to helping a friend in need (sympathy, anger, and efficacy).Sympathy is the amount of sympathy by the helper in response to the friend's problem.Anger is the angry emotions felt by the helper toward the friend in need.Efficacy is the helper's belief they have the resources to help the friend.All of these are measured on a scale of 1 (none) to 7 (much).
