Here are some helpful tips to help you get started and structure$/$format your project. KEY TIPS: ORGANIZATION OF YOUR PAPER: We discussed in class the importance of setting up your answer using headings and sub$-$ headings. This will help your group keep your answers focused and potentially avoid any $$run on thoughts$.$ Remember, you want to keep your answers clear and concise. It$$s not about the quantity you write, it$$s about the quality of your content. Double space and use size $12$ font. TIP $$ Use a cover sheet to separate your sections. Have a cover page for Section A$,$ and a cover page for Section B$.$ You will continue to use this report cover to add the other sections of the project as you complete them. In addition, your group should have one master title page with all group member names $($with student numbers$)$ recorded. Another key note, it mentions that all relevant material for each section should stay within the section. Do not use Appendices. GRADING CRITERIA: It is noted in your book, that there will be an appraisal of each group member. I will not ask this of you. The final mark assigned to the group will be the mark that each member will receive. As a result, it is expected that all members participate in this project together and contribute. However, if there are concerns about member contributions, students are advised to speak with me as soon as possible. Grading Sheets are posted for each of the sections. Please ensure to review the grading criteria for each of the sections. TIPS FOR SECTION A & SECTION B: Section A: Identification of Current Organizational Problems Identify the problems$/$ issues at Duplox Copiers $$ what are the problems being faced by the organization $($list them and explain briefly$)$ Consider the current structure of the organization $($HINT: refer to Notebook $2\mathrm{.}1$ use headings as you analyze the current structure of Duplox$)$ BY EXAMINING THE STRUCTURAL VARIABLES YOU WILL LEARN ABOUT THE CURRENT MANAGERIAL STRATEGY BEING USED $($THIS WAS COVERED IN CHAPTER $2).$ Consider the contextual variables in which Duplox operates $($HINT: refer to Notebook $2\mathrm{.}2$ use headings as you analyze the contextual variable in which Duplox operates$)$ BY EXAMINING THE CONTEXTUAL VARIABLES IN WHICH DUPLOX OPERATES, YOU WILL LEARN WHICH MANAGERIAL STRATEGY IS APPROPRIATE $($THIS WAS COVERED IN CHAPTER $2).$ NEXT $$ as a group discuss and explain in your paper $$does alignment exist between the organizations managerial strategy and the organizations systems and contextual variables $($HINT: what do the structural variables indicate about the managerial strategy of the organization; what do the contextual variables indicate $$ this is what will tell you if alignment exists$)$ The question also asks you to look at the current reward systems that are causing the problems at Duplox$$ identify them and discuss.
