I found it interesting how you mentioned that the reason the board of directors does not get involved with the operational goals of a business is that they have already hired operational managers to take care of that. I agree with that, but the way I looked at it was that they are too busy with strategic planning, and they do not really ever see the operational side of the company. On the other hand, you did mention that the board of directors needs to be involved in the strategic decisions, and this I agree with because they are at the very top of the company, so they need to be able to plan how the company should move forward and set strategies for how they want to carry out their company.
