HFT 3431 Project Report Outline Items to include: 1) Cover page with name of company & participants names 2) An index page 3) The report body (see below) Minimum 5 complete pages. 4) Any graphs or accompanying charts you wish to include 5) A print out of the summary financial statement and balance sheet The report body should follow this outline: OVERVIEW This is an overview of your resort/hotel such as what type it is, how many rooms, where it is located, etc. Also introduce yourselves and the titles you hold. FINANCIAL ANALYSIS OVERVIEW Use this section as a financial overview of the operation. Ie: did you make/lose money year over year and why (it is up to you to devise logical reasoning for your results.) Base this section primarily on the summary financial statement. Use whatever ratios you feel may be beneficial , but be prepared to explain what the ratio results mean, not just put numbers on the page. DEPARTMENTAL OVERVIEWS Use these sections (do one for each department, Rooms, Food, Beverage, Administration, Sales, etc. to analyze the results year over year. Ie: if you made increased profit in the rooms department, or lost money, or a combination of both, explain why. Again, use whatever calculations you deem appropriate, but be prepared to explain your calculations. If there were no major changes in a department, a sentence stating such should suffice
